Who Is An Advocate-on-record?
AOR
- An AOR, as per Order IV of Supreme Court Rules, is authorized to plead on behalf of their clients in the Supreme Court.
- Filing cases before the Supreme Court is exclusively within the purview of AORs.
- AORs constitute a group of lawyers primarily practicing before the Supreme Court.
- The selection of AORs, done by the Supreme Court itself, ensures that qualified lawyers can represent litigants in the court of last resort.

Challenges to becoming an AOR!
What sets the AOR examination process apart is that there are no fixed seats; anyone meeting the criteria and successfully clearing the exam can attain this position. In contrast to certain government exams with limited seats, the AOR exam does not impose such constraints. Despite this open opportunity, the low number of AORs can be attributed to several factors:

When and how will the sessions be conducted?
The LIVE & interactive sessions with the instructors will be conducted on the Zoom platform on weekends, i.e., Saturday and Sunday. Each session will be about 1 hour 30 minutes including query resolution in which you can ask your doubts from the instructors.
What if I miss any session due to other prior commitments?
Recordings for each LIVE session will be available on the website, in your Login Account, where you can watch the recordings for an unlimited number of times for 2 years. If you miss the LIVE sessions or want to watch the session again, you can log in to your account on the Bettering Results website and watch the recording for the required topic of the session.
Will I get any study material on all subjects for the Exam?
Yes, study material will be available in soft copy.
How will the assignments be taken? Will I be evaluated on my performance?
Yes, 1-2 assignments will be conducted in which you’ll be required to draft based on the particular learning of the relevant session conducted and the sample drafted provided. You will be assessed on your ability to draft the agreement, legal acumen utilized, and timely submission of the agreement.
